Dr. Nataša Brouwer

Dr. Nataša Brouwer has a PhD in chemistry. She is a specialist in university STEM (STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education and the use of ICT in teaching and learning. She is a senior educational consultant at the University of Amsterdam, working at the Teaching and Learning Centre Faculty of Science. She coordinates the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) Programme at the Faculty of Science in which already more than 520 STEM lecturers have achieved a national recognized UTQ certificate. She was involved in many university, national and European projects on innovation in teaching with technology in higher education. She chaired several Working groups of the European Chemistry Thematic Network (ECTN) in the past and currently she is the chair of the ECTN Working group Eurolecturer Academy. Her research interest is in application of digital technology in teaching and learning in higher education and in the effectiveness of professional development of university teaching staff.
