Project Coordinator Market Research & Development Advisor / EKONID

Stephan Blocks has been with the German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (EKONID) for over 14 years, during which time he has held a number of different roles. His work to date has concentrated on two main areas: education and training, as well as trade promotion.

Since May 2024, he has been the head of ProRecognition Indonesia, a project which provides counselling on the recognition of professional and academic qualifications of international skilled workers seeking employment in Germany. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), coordinated by DIHK Service GmbH in Germany and in Indonesia implemented in cooperation with EKONID.

In 2004, he graduated from a dual higher education programme, majoring in business management. As part of the programme, he also obtained a dual vocational education and training certificate. In 2009, he graduated from TU Berlin with a German Diplom in economics.
