Criteria for Type 2 Evaluations: Quality and Organisational Development

Also for newly designed – “customised” – evaluation projects, we normally work with the evaluation standards that are projected onto the to be evaluated subject. These standards could be formulated as:

  • quality criteria
  • reference values
  • target specifications
  • experiential expectations
  • parameters of effectiveness
  • etc.

We distinguish between such criteria and research questions that are leading the evaluation. For us, research and evaluation questions are an operationalisation of the evaluation standards that should be the foundation of an evaluation.

In Type 2 evaluations, the choice and formulation of the evaluation criteria can be newly designed. The client can prepare these himself or develop them in cooperation with us, while we examine and optimise them for the most effective use in the evaluation procedure.
