New Board of Directors for the 2024-2026 Term of Office

At the last General Assembly of ASIIN e.V. on 13 November 2023, the Board of Directors was successfully completed with the appointment of two further candidates. With now twelve highly qualified Board members, ASIIN is well equipped for the upcoming period 2024-2026. The diversity of experience and expertise of the Board members will help to further advance ASIIN's mission and goals.

 

Web conference: E Pluribus Unum - How to finalize the Harmonization of European Higher Education Area: Propositions for radically new departures and stacking the parcels together anew

On Thursday, 02 June between 10-12.00 a.m., a groundbreaking ASIIN/EAPSA web conference will take place, in which ASIIN Managing Director Dr. Wasser will attempt to set a new course for European quality assurance in higher education in many ways. The title of his introductory talk (followed by a discussion) is:

"E Pluribus Unum - How to finalize the Harmonization of European Higher Education Area: Propositions for radically new departures and stacking the parcels together anew".

Renewal of ASIIN membership in ENQA

ASIIN has successfully completed the re-accreditation procedure for the continuation of its membership in the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education – ENQA. At its meeting on April 28, 2022 the General Assembly endorsed the ENQA Board’s decisions to reconfirm the membership of ASIIN to December 7, 2026 thereby confirming ASIIN's compliance with the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG).

ASIIN again signs "Memorandum of Understanding" with the "European Students' Union" (ESU)

On 29 October 2021, ASIIN again signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the European Students' Union (ESU). This concerns cooperation in the recruitment of student experts for the implementation of international accreditation procedures.

Upon request, ESU will nominate student experts for participation in the procedures carried out by ASIIN. The student experts have the same rights and duties as all other members of the expert group. The accreditation procedures are carried out according to the criteria of the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and all decisions are registered in the Database of External Quality Assurance Results (DEQAR) and are thus publicly accessible.
