The German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (BVMW) and the accreditation agency ASIIN e.V. have agreed on a close cooperation, formalized through reciprocal institutional memberships. Since the beginning of 2026, the BVMW is officially a new member of ASIIN.
ASIIN is delighted to count Schaeffler AG among its institutional members since 1 July 2025. With Schaeffler AG, the ASIIN accreditation agency gains an industrial partner whose international development, production, and innovation activities substantially enrich the quality assurance of engineering and technology-oriented educational offerings.
ASIIN is expanding its portfolio with a new subject-specific label for engineering degree programs: “Accredited by German Engineers”. In future, this will be awarded in addition to the established ASIIN seal.
On December 8 and 9, 2024, ASIIN celebrated its 25th anniversary with a festive event at the Literaturhaus München, which was attended by over 150 participants from all over the world. Under the motto “Heading for new shores”, board members, committee members, experts, long-standing companions, cooperation partners and representatives from colleges and universities came together to celebrate this milestone. Participants traveled from countries such as Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Finland, Indonesia, Tunisia, Armenia, Spain, Portugal and many other regions, underlining the international reach of ASIIN and its work.
The ASIIN Accreditation Commission met on December 5 and 6 for its quarterly meeting. A total of 33 procedures were dealt with.
