Cooperation between ASIIN and ONESQA to Prepare for Institutional Accreditation
ASIIN e. V. and the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA) of Thailand have embarked on a collaborative journey to elevate education quality in Thailand. ONESQA, entrusted with developing criteria and methods for external quality assessment, is dedicated to evaluating educational institutions' achievements and management to ensure excellence.
In pursuit of its mission, ONESQA aims to establish an external quality assessment system, develop standards and criteria, provide training and certification for external assessors, and offer recommendations to educational institutions and their overseeing bodies.
The partnership between ASIIN and ONESQA has taken a significant step forward, marked by a delegation from ONESQA, including vocational board members and Deputy Director LCdr. Dr. Kittiya Evans, visiting ASIIN's headquarters in Düsseldorf from February 19th to 21st. The purpose of their visit was to participate in a three-day workshop focused on preparing for institutional accreditation.
During the workshop, ONESQA members immersed themselves in learning about institutional accreditation processes under ASIIN's guidance. The aim is to collaboratively implement a series of pilot procedures for institutional accreditation at Thai universities, thereby fortifying the educational landscape in Thailand in the long term.
The partnership underscores the commitment of both organizations to enhancing education quality assessment and fostering educational excellence. By pooling expertise and resources, ASIIN and ONESQA are poised to make a lasting impact on the Thai education sector, ensuring it meets the highest international standards.
