Dr. Iring Wasser
Dr. Iring Wasser is a prominent figure in the field of accreditation for engineering education. He has been serving as the Managing Director of ASIIN e.V. (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, the Natural Sciences and Mathematics) for almost 25 years. Under his leadership, ASIIN has become a key player in global quality assurance and accreditation.
Regarding Dr. Wasser's educational background, he holds a Master in Public Administration from the University of Konstanz, a Master of International Politics from Virgini
a Technological Institute as well as a Ph.D. in American Studies from the John F. Kennedy Institute in Berlin, Free University of Berlin/Georgetown University.
Dr. Wasser throughout his career has assumed manifold leadership positions in international quality assurance networks. Notably, he served as the President of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE), as founding President of the European Alliance for Professional QA (EASPA), as President of the Central and Eastern European QA Network (CEENQA), director of the International Network of QA in Higher Education (INQAAHE) as well as Vice-President of the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education), reflecting his broad impact on higher education quality assurance internationally.
His contributions to the field have significantly shaped the standards and processes of accreditation, ensuring high-quality education and professional standards for institutional accreditation and HE study programs in the STEM disciplines.
