Professor Maria-Ribera Sancho
Dr. Maria-Ribera Sancho has been professor at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (https://www.upc.edu/) since 1987.
At the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (https://www.bsc.es/) she has been Manager of the Education and Training unit and Director of the PRACE Training Center@BSC
since 2012.
While Dean of the Barcelona School of Informatics (https://www.fib.upc.edu/) at UPC she chaired the Spanish Council of Deans and Directors of Informatics and has been
honorary member of this Council since 2010.
She has recognised expertise in curricula development and quality assurance in Higher Education and Professional Training including but not limited to embedding the HPC and its applications on Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Professional Training programmes. Currently she has strong commitment at the EuroMaster4HPC definition and implementation and at the CASTIEL2 WP3 Training, Twinning and Mentoring implementation.
She serves as President of EQANIE (https://eqanie.eu/) and previously chaired the Accreditation Committee. She served as member of the ACM-W Europe Executive Committee
She has been active in the Software Engineering field for over 35 years. Her main research areas are Learning Analytics, Ontologies and Conceptual Modelling.
