What

The ASIIN Indonesia conference organized in collaboration with the Udayana University on the scenic island of Bali, delves into multifaceted themes designed to enrich the landscape of higher education in Indonesia and beyond, with a special emphasis on the longstanding cooperation between Germany and Indonesia.

The conference commences with an exploration of innovations in teaching and learning, spotlighting the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Experts from Germany and Indonesia will provide an overview of current debates, initiatives, and policies surrounding AI in higher education, sharing insights on leveraging AI for teaching, learning, research, and administration.

Subsequently, the conference will present successful examples of international collaboration between Indonesia and Germany in higher education and skilled labor provision. Attendees will learn about exchange opportunities for Indonesian higher education institutions offered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Additionally, best practices for developing and implementing double degree and joint programs between universities in both countries will be presented. The spotlight will also be on the German model of dual education and its benefits for skilled labor management, underscoring the importance of skilled labor exchange between the two nations.

The global ranking discussion and its implications for Indonesian and German higher education institutions will be a focal point. Representatives from international ranking organizations will shed light on the significance of rankings and accreditation for advancing the Indonesian higher education system, presenting challenges, innovations, and the current standing of Indonesian institutions.

Best practices in running modern higher education institutions will be showcased, with presentations on innovative management systems from leading German and Indonesian universities.

Throughout the conference, ASIIN's capacity-building and quality assurance enhancement portfolio will be highlighted, demonstrating how it can benefit the Indonesian higher education sector. Game-changers in international collaboration, such as the ASIIN Global University Network of Excellence (AGUNE) and the ASIIN Academy, will be introduced.

Networking opportunities will abound, fostering connections among academia, accreditation bodies, and educational institutions. As an optional addendum, ASIIN staff will be available to advise representatives of Indonesian higher education institutions on current or future accreditation procedures.

In summary, the conference aspires to be a catalyst for positive change, promoting the growth and enhancement of higher education in Indonesia, fostering meaningful global partnerships, and addressing the exchange of skilled labor, assistance in developing higher education, skills shortages, and mobility of graduates and students.
